Summary :
Part 3 of the report applies the concept of ecological debt to Belgium. It tackles ecological debt and the case of energy and climate change, starting with a look at fossil fuels. It then analyses energy consumption and CO2 emissions in Belgium since 1830 and calculates Belgium’s Carbon Debt, including defining the Carbon Debt, looking at the historical and generational Carbon Debt, elements for implementation, and figures and international comparisons. This part of the report ends with conclusions and a list of references.
