Helena Norberg-Hodge
Director of the International Society for Ecology and Culture (ISEC) and author of several books and articles, including Ancient Futures: Learning from Ladakh. She is a recipient of the Right Livelihood Award (the Alternative Nobel Prize). A linguist by training, she speaks seven languages and was the first outsider in modern times to master the ancient Tibetan dialect of Ladakh.
